Continuum of Support

Targeted qualitative support can often be as pivotal to the success of a project as financial support. Thus, Jewish Story Partners created a Continuum of Support program, which provides bespoke guidance and mentorship to our grantees throughout the lives of their films.

Open to any grantee who opts in, the program is designed to discern the filmmaker’s most pressing areas of need and to support and stay with the project as those needs evolve. These areas can range from financing, to creative, to production, post-production, and distribution, and might include networking and introductions; story notes and editorial feedback; strategic discussions; or advice on festivals and sales. JSP’s Co-Founders act as advisors and also recruit and hire outside experts to augment support. JSP Continuum of Support advisors have included Lacey Schwartz Delgado (Black x Jewish, The Loving Generation, Little White Lie), Alysa Nahmias (Wildcat, Unrest, Art and Krimes by Krimes), Harry Vaughn (documentary programmer and producer), Toby Shimin (editor, Buck, How to Dance in Ohio, Ernie and Joe: Crisis Cops, The Return of Tanya Tucker, Little White Lie), and Professor Mark Jonathan Harris (The Redwoods, The Long Way Home). Since our launch in 2021, we have provided over 375 hours of support to our grantees.

In addition, we promote and celebrate our grantees’ work on an ongoing basis in our publications, digital newsletter, on social media platforms, at special events, and beyond.
