Shiho Ito

Manager of Individual Giving and Events

Shiho Ito is Jewish Story Partners’ Manager of Individual Giving and Events. She is a founding board member of the Camino Nuevo Charter Academy schools and Pueblo Nuevo Development. For over 30 years, she served as a leader in growing a grass-roots organization into a vibrant community of high-performing public schools, including a foundation to support students and families in the downtown Los Angeles area serving under-resourced immigrant neighborhoods.

Shiho is an active member of Ikar, an egalitarian Jewish spiritual community, where she chaired the Education Committee. She has extensive event planning experience with Angeleno Group, a clean energy investment firm, Harvard-Westlake School, Larchmont Charter, Get Lit: Words Ignite, the Shakespeare Youth Festival, and College Match LA. She began her career in film production as an assistant director and location manager for independent films and commercials, and also worked on documentaries and in film acquisitions for the Japanese market. She earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University, where she majored in English and East Asian Studies.
