David Fisher is a writer, director, and producer whose approach to documentary filmmaking has earned him international acclaim. As the former Artistic Director of the New Foundation for Cinema and Television, Fisher transformed the organization into a catalyst for distinctive cinematic voices, most notably supporting the groundbreaking Waltz with Bashir. His own films, including the award-winning Love Inventory and Six Million and One, have demonstrated his ability to weave personal narratives into universal stories that resonate with audiences worldwide. Fisher’s experience as an artist in residence at Yale and visiting professor at Wesleyan and Brandeis Universities has enriched his perspective on how to bring complex Jewish narratives to diverse audiences.

As producer and chief consultant, Michael Berenbaum brings a unique combination of scholarly expertise and intimate personal knowledge of Elie Wiesel to the project. His journey with Holocaust documentation began when he served as Project Director for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, where he worked directly with Wiesel to establish it as a “Living Memorial.” This collaboration gave Berenbaum rare insight into Wiesel’s vision and philosophy. His subsequent career producing over forty Holocaust-related documentaries, including the Oscar-winning One Survivor Remembers, has demonstrated his ability to translate complex historical narratives into compelling cinema that educates and moves audiences.

Naama Pyritz

Producer Naama Pyritz Naama completed her film studies in New York in 1998. For over twenty five years, Naama has worked as an independent producer, producing numerous films and documentaries. Among her works are: The Adventures of Saul Bellow (2020), directed by Asaf Galay, which received the NEH grant and was shown on PBS American Masters;  Army of Lovers (2018), directed by Asaf Galay, winner of the Haifa Film Festival for best documentary; In my Room (2017) by Ayelet Albenda (Channel 8); and two seasons of the series Connected. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she produced and directed Isolated for Channel 8. She has been producing video works for artist Yael Bartana for 20 years.
