Directors and Producers Lisa Fruchtman and Rob Fruchtman
Lesbian pioneer Eve Adams and her companion Hella Olstein met and fell in love as Jewish refugees in Paris in 1933, defying the sexual, immigrant, and antisemitic barriers of their times. Their disappearance during the Holocaust remained a mystery—until now, as their descendants on two continents attempt to uncover their lost story.

Lisa Fruchtman is an Academy Award winning editor who has worked in both feature film and television. Among her many projects as editor are Apocalypse Now, The Right Stuff, Children of a Lesser God, The Godfather Part III, The Doctor, and The Woodsman. For television, she has edited such HBO films as Truman, Witness Protection, Point of Origin and Normal. Awards and honors include an Oscar for The Right Stuff, Academy Award Nominations for The Godfather Part III and Apocalypse Now, an Emmy Nomination and Cable ACE Award for Truman. Children of a Lesser God was nominated for Best Picture. Together with brother Rob Fruchtman she directed and produced the critically acclaimed documentary Sweet Dreams.
Rob Fruchtman

Rob Fruchtman is an award winning director, producer and editor of documentaries and television programs. He won the Documentary Director award at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival for his feature film, Sister Helen, which aired on HBO, as well as three Emmys for his work with PBS. He directed Trust Me, for Showtime, Seeing Proof , a film about Cambodia’s brutal Khmer Rouge regime for George Soros’ Open Society. More recently, he directed Moving Stories, which follows a New York-based dance company around the world as they work with marginalized youths in various countries (South Korea, India, Romania and Iraq). Together with sister Lisa Fruchtman, he produced and directed Sweet Dreams, a story of hope and healing in Rwanda.
