The Feminist Tapes tells the story of the Women’s Liberation Movement through newly rediscovered confessions of the movement’s key leaders of the 1960s-80s. Driven by hours of candid and insightful audio tapes — recorded in the early 90s but not heard until now — these women reflect on their revolution’s triumphs and failures and share hard-won lessons for today’s changemakers. The film weaves their voices with rare archival footage to create an immersive experience that feels urgently relevant as women’s rights face new threats.

Elizabeth specializes in propulsive character- and archive- driven documentaries. With Liz Garbus, Elizabeth directed and produced the 2020 HBO documentary series I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, based on the best-selling book of the same name. She produced Bobby Kennedy for President, a 2018 Netflix original directed by Dawn Porter, which explores the life and death of Robert F. Kennedy using rare and never-before-seen archive. She adapted Ron Chernow’s biography of Ulysses S. Grant into a six-hour hybrid documentary (History Channel, 2020) and served as producer on Among the Stars, a limited series about NASA (Disney+, 2021). Wolff began her career as a reporter for the New York Post and studied U.S. History and Literature at Wesleyan University.
Holly Meehl Chapman

For the past eight years, Holly has produced award-winning narrative and documentary features through her company, Lunamax Films. Recent credits include the feature documentary, Jacinta (dir. Jessica Earnshaw), which launched to critical acclaim at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2020 and won the Albert Maysles Best New Documentary Director Award. The film was acquired by ABC News and released as a Hulu Original in 2021. Through Lunamax, Holly also produced the New York Times Critics’ Pick, For the Birds (dir. Richard Miron) and festival favorite romantic comedy, In Reality (dir. Ann Lupo). Holly’s co-producing credits include the feature docs (Dis)Honesty: The Truth About Lies (dir. Yael Melamede) and Love Charlie: The Rise and Fall of Chef Charlie Trotter (dir. Rebecca Halpern). Holly was an Impact Partners Producing Fellow and named one of Doc NYCs “40 under 40” in 2020. She studied Creative Writing and Film Studies at Vanderbilt University.
