Jodi Harris
LCSW, Philanthropist, Activist, Film Producer
With a Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California in Social Work, Jodi served on the staff at several Los Angeles hospitals, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Jodi later became a part of Jewish Family Services as a domestic violence counselor while maintaining her private practice. In 2005, Jodi joined her family’s business, Flavor Producers, which is committed to creating natural, organic, and plant-based flavors and extracts. As a businesswoman, licensed clinical social worker, and mother, Harris focuses her philanthropy and film projects on social justice and genocide education initiatives. Jodi is a longtime friend and supporter of USC Shoah Foundation, founded by Steven Spielberg in 1994 to interview survivors and witnesses of the Holocaust for education and action. As an active member of its Next Generation Council, Jodi is passionate about the organization’s use of eyewitness testimony to impact education and counter hatred and bigotry.
Jodi is committed to storytelling through both scripted features and documentary films. She is dedicated to Holocaust education and empowering young people to have a voice. She served as Executive Producer on Ruth: A Little Girl’s Big Journey, an animated short that shares Dr. Ruth Westheimer’s story of escape from the Holocaust as a young girl. Jodi is involved as an Executive Producer with numerous other film projects in various stages of development and production.
