Wendy Cohen

Wendy has been working at the intersection of storytelling, impact and distribution for over 18 years. She was the President of Picture Motion for 8 years where she played a leading role in strategic planning, campaign development and partnerships. During her tenure, Wendy designed impact and audience engagement campaigns for Time, Becoming, Free Solo, Won’t You Be My Neighbor, Minding the Gap, 13th, Inequality for All and Lion. Prior to joining Picture Motion, Wendy was the Senior Director of Film Campaigns at Participant Media where she developed innovative online and mobile initiatives for The Visitor, Food, Inc, The Cove, Waiting for “Superman”, Lincoln, Middle of Nowhere and A Place at the Table. Wendy was born and raised in Montreal and in 2006, became the first Community Manager for The Huffington Post. Wendy produced a few short films including Every Third Bite, the 2011 Sundance Film Festival trailer, The Goldfish starring Jason Ritter and All Exchanges Final starring Aya Cash. Wendy continues to be a guest lecturer and panelist at festivals and schools around the country and has been profiled in the Washington Post, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Chronicle of Philanthropy and The Hollywood Reporter. She is a recipient of the New Leaders Council’s 40 under 40 award.
