Program Coordinator
About Us
Jewish Story Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to stimulate and support the highest caliber independent documentaries that use fresh, nuanced perspectives to tell stories about the diverse spectrum of Jewish experiences, cultures, and encounters. Launched in 2021, Jewish Story Partners is a philanthropic foundation providing approximately $1 million in annual grants and a continuum of support to excellent film projects exploring Jewish themes.
Job Summary
Based in Los Angeles, the Program Coordinator ensures Jewish Story Partners’ program operations are running smoothly – including all aspects of grant-making, artist support, and other program activities. The Program Coordinator works closely with and reports to the Senior Manager of Film Granting and Artist Support, who oversees all program-related matters.
Essential duties and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following areas:
Program Operations
- Maintain systems and infrastructure used in JSP programs. Ensure platforms and software such as G-Suite, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp, Airtable, databases (SalesForce), calendars, and other organizational tools are functional, revised, and updated consistently.
Granting Cycles
- Coordinate the operations, timeline, and processes of annual granting cycle and special granting programs including: industry outreach, project tracking, data input, filmmaker inquiries, application materials, selections meetings, jury activities, artist interviews, grantee deliverables, public announcements.
Continuum of Artist Support
- Coordinate ongoing grantee reporting and check-ins, input grantee updates into database, track staff and consultant time, and perform any additional artist support tasks.
External Communications
- Monitor and update all aspects of the JSP web site (WordPress), including working with consultants and internal team to maintain, improve, and evolve the site.
- Track and flag grantee news for social media and other publications.
- Draft copy and copy edit program communications materials as assigned.
- Prepare presentation materials and edit sample reels.
- Coordinate in-person and online fundraising and board events involving JSP grantees.
Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting
- Coordinate the collection of all grantee data and help devise analytical strategies in order to measure and articulate JSP’s impact on the fields of documentary film and Jewish education.
Administrative assistance efforts as needed
- Conduct scheduling and office administration tasks as assigned.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- 1-2 years work experience demonstrating attention to detail, strong organizational skills, accuracy in recording and issuing information, and a solid, focused work ethic.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ease and skill with Google Suite, spreadsheets, databases, design software, computers, and social media. Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Squarespace, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp, and Airtable is ideal.
- Candidates should have education in or at least a strong interest in documentaries and independent film and media. An interest in Jewish culture and history is also desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Los Angeles, California. Employees are expected to work onsite at the office three days per week. JSP offers a competitive salary, health benefits, 403(b) retirement plan and generous vacation and sick leave policies.
